Amber, thank you for producing this beautiful picture which is a tribute to our parents, Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Walker. Herbert and Bernice were high school sweethearts where they grew up in Comstock, Texas. They were married in Bryan, Texas, while my dad was attending Texas A&M College (now TAMU). After World War II, they returned to College Station where my dad completed his doctorate in veterinary medicine. They then returned to Del Rio where my dad set up his veterinary practice. Both Herbert and Bernice were very involved with family, school, church and community activities. Setting an example for others, they were happily married for 52 years. Amber Kresge replied:

Thanks so much for sharing their story Judy. I was wandering around the cemetery this day, stumbled upon these amazing looking trees and just knew I had to use them to frame the American flag. It's so nice to know the story behind the image too now.

Amber Kresge

First and foremost, in the unlikely event that I ever become famous, I would like to ensure that my name is not butchered in households across America. So that being said, my last name is pronounced, "KRES-GEE", or "KREZ-GEE"-not "KRESAGE" which is how most people generally pronounce it. Anyway, a little about me....Prior to my husband's retirement in January of 2015, I had spent 15 years as an Air Force wife. All of the years leading up to that I had spent as a military brat mostly in the state of Delaware where I grew up. In January of 2000, I became an orthodontist assistant; it was during that time of taking intraoral photos that I discovered my love of photography. FYI, that's probably the weirdest, "I discovered my passion for...
