Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

This is a picture that I took of a DC-3C at sunrise. My Dad was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force for 22 years and since his retirement in 1998, he's worked as the main mechanic at a county airport in Kentucky. As I was out taking pictures at o'dark thirty in the morning, I was able to talk with my Dad about this particular plane and he made me start thinking about things I hadn't really considered before. As I stood watching the sun rise on this very cool plane, my Dad stood next to me waxing philosophical about how he likes to imagine all the different people who have worked on this plane over the years and about the amazing women who most likely built this plane. That got me to thinking about this particular plane and it's probable history which led me to doing some research. I discovered that DC-3C's, as opposed to the straight DC-3, was the designator given to the former C-47 military planes that were later sold for commercial use. So that being said, my last name is pronounced, "KRES-GEE", or "KREZ-GEE"-not "KRESAGE" which is how most people generally pronounce it. Anyway, a little about me....Prior to my husband's retirement in January of 2015, I had spent 15 years as an Air Force wife. All of the years leading up to that I had spent as a military brat mostly in the state of Delaware where I grew up.
