Description
In October of 2012, I took a short 3 day trip to Kentucky for my sister's wedding. While there, I used every minute of my time (when not fulfilling my wedding responsibilities) to photograph the gorgeous tobacco barns of Western Kentucky. I spent my entire time there photographing just a few of the tobacco barns near the town of Murray, Kentucky which is located in the Land Between the Lakes region. Honestly, I would need at least a month of daily photo shoots just to capture all the barns within a 30 mile radius that I would like to photograph.
This particular scene I found quite by accident. I was actually at the location across the street photographing the tobacco barn found there. (In case you are interested, that spectacular (in my humble opinion) image is located in my "Western Kentucky Landscapes" album and is entitled, "Overgrown"). As I got out of the truck to view the barn, I glanced across the street and saw these beautiful horses standing near this rustic little shed. I quickly set up my tripod and camera, took some pictures of the tobacco barn, and then headed across the street to capture this beautiful horse and their other companion. I absolutely love how these horse's are standing near this old, dilapidated shed, with the beautiful fall colors changing all around them.
If you would like to see the other horse that was out in the field with these two, his picture is also located in my "Western Kentucky Landscapes" album or my "Horses" album and is entitled, "Black Beauty".
